These 2 sweet kittens are becoming more comfortable with me coming in the room. Even if they try to hide, they are not as upset when I pick them up. Jolene decided to help me sweep this afternoon. She has discovered that the hanging clothes are a great place to hide and also get some sun. She has convinced her brother Jerome to join her sometimes. They love the wand with the ball and feather on it. Small balls and springs are also favourites.
Jerome and Jolene play well together and can often be found curled up together.
Kittens are comfortable coming out from hiding when I am in the room now. Still not big fans of being picked up but seem to enjoy being pet. They are into everything. They love the small toys, especially the wand with the ball and feather. They both love to “help” sweep but Jolene is obsessed with the broom.
They love to play together and sometimes snuggle together in the bed. Jolene’s favourite spot is sleeping on the bottom clothes rack.
Foster Update
Jerome and Jolene are the cutest little munchkins. When they first arrived, Jerome would hiss and spit at me. Jolene would put her ears flat back. They now come out from hiding and like to attack my slippers. They love to help with sweeping! Their favourite toy right now is the wand toy with a ball and feather on it, but they also love to play with small furry toys and springs. They are great little eaters. They are still shy and do not like to be picked up. I would recommend keeping them in a small space for a bit or they will hide. They are very close and play well together. It’s always just been the two of them and Mom. They are nervous seeing the bigger cats. They will require patience for the first while as they get used to new surroundings.
Furry Tales requires all small kittens to be adopted with a playful companion or for there to be a friendly feline already in the adoptive home. Kittens are social beings and companionship is an important part of their development.
