Came into care from the Portland area. Pecan is Mom to
Cashew,
Macadamia,
Peanut,
Pistachio, and
Walnut.
Pecan has been a is a truly wonderful mother to her kittens and has shown herself to be incredibly trusting, sweet-natured, and calm. She is very much a people cat, and while she may not be a lap cat yet, she is rarely more than a few feet away, often found perched on a counter or relaxing on a rug. She communicates clearly through direct eye contact and distinct meows, making it easy to know exactly what she needs.
In her time in care, she has met many friends and family members and has never been shy or frightened, always proving to be friendly and comfortable in social settings. She was fine sharing her space with another cat, comfortably putting him in his place when he got too playful, but also not aggressive.
She loves head scratches, rubbing up against you, and is currently quite food focused and loves all foods and treats! A lovely sign of her peace and contentment is that she has started rolling onto her back when relaxing. Pecan is truly great company and will make someone very happy!
