Meet the bestest boy named Salam! He’s a velvety-black sweetheart with a soft meow and a big purrsonality! Born in May 2023, he’s been blossoming in the security of his foster home and it’s clear he’s got a lot of love to give to his furever family!

Salam can take a little extra time to come around at first, but with some patience his affectionate side starts to shine! His favorite moments are spent rubbing up against legs in the kitchen and curling up in laps for pets. You’ll often find Salam relaxing on his favourite fuzzy blanket on the loveseat, where he feels safe and cozy. At night, that’s still his go-to spot, even though he’s free to explore the whole house.

Salam’s foster mom reports excellent litter box habits and no interest in climbing curtains or rearranging the Christmas tree. He’s a gentle housemate who occasionally shows interest in toys, especially his catnip kicker. Salam can be a bit of a ham in front of the camera (check out all his cute photos!) We’ve seen his laser-catching skills; they’re next level 😁

While Salam has some peripheral vision challenges, he’s proven to be impressively adaptable—navigating his surroundings with ease and charm. This could be the reason for his slow warming up, but it doesn’t seem to impact him otherwise! Salam’s a little different, but he’s a purrfectly happy sweetheart.

This darling boy is on the hunt for a special someone to appreciate his unique purrsonality and give him a quiet, safe space to thrive. Who doesn’t love a quirky roommate? If you think Salam might be the one for you, “start the car” cause this special boy won’t be waiting long! He’s so ready to find his purrson to love!

Check out our social posts featuring him: November 29th Facebook Post Foster Update More about Salam, it’s taken him about a week and a half to become comfortable. Today he ventured up the cat tree and then showed playfulness with the pointer. His purrs and meows are soft. I love his coat, it’s dense and feels like velvet. Very, very low shedding. No longer ravenous for food as he knows his kibble is always available. Nor does he try to beg from me when I’m eating. He enjoys a good head scratching and will crawl into your lap for more. He will signal you with tail slaps and a gentle push of his paws when it’s time to stop. Spends a lot of time grooming his beautiful coat.
