Toby is a handsome grey and white tabby who was recently found outdoors in Smiths Falls and is now in our care. This resilient boy has settled into his new surroundings with remarkable ease and has already proven to be incredibly affectionate. Toby is a total sweetheart with a “big” personality and even more to say—he is a true conversationalist who will happily chat with you all day (and occasionally in the middle of the night) to make sure he has your full attention.
Toby is the ultimate companion cat who thrives on human connection and will follow you from room to room to be near the action. He is incredibly tolerant of loud noises and sudden movements, making him an excellent candidate for a busy home with children or multiple people to share the “petting duties.” While he isn’t a lap cat by his own choice, if you pick him up and place him there, he’ll happily settle in for a long, purry nap.
When he isn’t shadowing his humans, Toby loves to retreat to the top of the kitchen cabinets for a safe, bird’s-eye view nap. He is an active guy who enjoys his scratching post and a good session with a wand toy, though his absolute favorite thing in the world remains a dedicated head scratch. He isn’t particularly food-motivated, as he truly just craves your time and affection above all else.
A Note for His Future Family:
Toby is a very social boy who feels most secure when people are around. Because he craves attention and can be quite vocal when he feels lonely, he would likely do best in a household where he won’t be left alone for long periods.
