Flax is a confident and curious kitten with a slightly cautious side when it comes to sudden or quick movements. He is more independent than his brother when awake and is not always in the mood for attention, though he becomes noticeably more affectionate when sleepy and especially enjoys gentle head rubs.
He often chooses the back of the couch as his favorite resting spot, where he can comfortably observe everything happening around him. Flax also enjoys exploring and playing in shared spaces, including a shoe rack that he and his brother frequently turn into a chase area.
He has a high energy level and experiences frequent zoomies. Flax is very playful and enjoys rough-and-tumble interaction, including play with hands. He may give playful bites and occasionally uses his claws, but always in an engaged, playful manner.
He spends much of his time wrestling, chasing, and playing with his brother, and they also often cuddle. He occasionally shares quiet moments cuddling with their mother as well.
Flax only purrs while nursing, but does so very loudly. When very sleepy, he becomes easier to pick up and handle, particularly with gentle petting. He has normal eating habits, a strong enthusiasm for food, and consistent litter box use.
He also has longer, very soft fur and a distinctive “receding hairline” pattern on his head that makes him especially recognizable.
Furry Tales requires all small kittens to be adopted with a playful companion or for there to be a friendly feline already in the adoptive home. Kittens are social beings and companionship is an important part of their development.
