Bastet is a stunning “black panther” kitten with a soul as sweet as she is shy. While she is currently the most reserved of her family, she is bravely working on coming out of her shell every single day. Bastet is a sensitive girl who may flinch at sudden movements or noises, but once she feels safe, her true heart begins to show. She has recently started purring during petting sessions and even took the big step of approaching her foster for attention on her own! It’s clear she craves affection; she just needs a little extra time and a patient hand to show her that she is safe.
When she isn’t busy observing from a safe distance, Bastet is a graceful little hunter who loves playing with wand toys and springs. She has reached a wonderful milestone of feeling comfortable enough to play even when people are in the room, showing off her natural athletic side. Unlike her sister Hathor, Bastet isn’t very food-motivated—she enjoys a bit of wet food and treats but prefers to take her time.
