Briar Rose is a stunning white and orange tabby who has settled into foster care with ease. She is a delightfully vocal girl who fills the day with a variety of sweet chirps and chatters, making sure you always know she’s nearby. A true “people person,” Briar Rose is never far from the action and loves to see exactly what you’re eating or what project you’re working on. While she is a laid-back soul who enjoys sprawling out on the floor or lounging on the couch beside you, she also has a protective side—she’s been known to let out a funny, dog-like growl at people passing by the window to let them know she’s on duty!
When it comes to affection, Briar Rose definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. She loves receiving pets and will occasionally decide it’s the perfect time to climb on top of you for a cuddle session. However, she is a lady who values her personal space and is very clear about her boundaries; she will communicate with a quick nip when she’s had enough attention. Because of this honest communication style, she would likely thrive best in a home with older children who can recognize and respect her “petting threshold.”
Briar Rose is a fantastic eater who takes her mealtimes very seriously, offering plenty of vocal reminders to ensure her bowl is never forgotten. She enjoys both wet and dry food and stays very well-hydrated throughout the day. While she is a champion digger in the litter box, her habits are excellent and consistent. Though she isn’t overly interested in every toy she meets, she does have a soft spot for catnip and the occasional chase with a wand toy. Overall, Briar Rose is a confident, non-skittish gal who is at her absolute happiest whenever her humans are around.
She is such a sweet girl with a bit of sass hiding in the flicks of her tail! She has not been tested with other cats, and would probably do better in a home with older children or ones who understand the boundaries cats set.
