He is most content curled up right next to you, binge-watching your favorite old British sitcoms or catching up on any TV show you need to finish. While he’ll tolerate being picked up, he’s a “four-on-the-floor” kind of guy who prefers to express his affection through proximity and gentle reminders.
Being well-groomed is essential for this man’s self-esteem, and he absolutely adores his spa time and will roll around to show you exactly where he needs attention. If your hand happens to drift away from his favorite spots, don’t worry—he’ll quickly grab your hand or give you a high-five to guide you back to where the pets belong! While he isn’t a massive fan of toys, he’ll occasionally engage with a wand toy or hide in a tunnel, but he much prefers the art of relaxation.
Mr. Garth Brooks has standards that would make any well-bred gentleman proud. He has no interest in crunchy treats and prefers his tube treats served elegantly on a dish—no eating directly from the tube for him! He also requests a placemat under his dishes and a mat in front of his litter box to keep his “castle” tidy, as he can get a little enthusiastic with his digging.
When he first came into care, Mr. Garth Brooks was quite sick. While he is much better now, he remains a bit “sneezy” as his sinuses continue to recover, but he finds that a nice steam shower makes everything feel right again. He has proven to be a polite roommate to other felines, respecting their boundaries with ease, though he hasn’t met any dogs just yet.
