This handsome boy is happiest when he’s close to his people and will happily curl up beside you every night for cuddles, purring contentedly as he drifts off to sleep. Iron can be a little reserved at first, but once he settles in, his gentle and loving personality shines through. He’s more of a quiet observer than a chatterbox and forms deep bonds with his people. His ideal home would be one where someone is around often to enjoy his company, as he truly loves spending time with his family.
Iron has a good appetite, though he can be a little particular about his food while settling into a new environment. Since he’s carrying a little extra weight, his future family will want to help him maintain a healthy diet. He also has excellent litter box habits and is an easy cat to care for.
Iron was unfortunately declawed on his front paws before coming into rescue, but it doesn’t slow him down or affect his sweet temperament. He also has a heart murmur that is currently mild enough that it doesn’t require medication, and he continues to enjoy a happy, comfortable life.
After not getting along with the other cats in his previous home, Iron would likely be happiest as the only pet, where he can devote all of his love and attention to his people. His gentle, affectionate nature would also make him a wonderful companion for a calm family, including one with respectful children.
