Milkshake and Calypso are a palliative care bonded duo, who will remain with us for the rest of Milkshake’s days.
Milkshake is a gentle and affectionate grey tabby with the softest fur (and heart). He quickly learned that humans mean comfort and love. He absolutely adores head and chin rubs and has the sweetest habit of resting his forehead gently against you as if to say thank you: a gesture that melts hearts instantly! He seeks out pets, cuddles, and enjoys his grooming sessions. He will make a beeline straight for your lap as soon as you sit down – he absolutely loves to cuddle. Milkshake’s coat is improving beautifully with regular brushing, and he’s even patient during paw trims.
We are absolutely ecstatic to share some incredible medical news: Milkshake’s most recent bloodwork shows he has improved from Stage 4 to Stage 2-3 Kidney Disease! He is proving to be a resilient fighter who doesn’t let his health status slow him down.
Now weighing in at a healthier 10+lbs, he’s a great eater who especially loves his wet food and temptations, and has spotless litterbox habits. He is a master of the “jungle gym,” specifically using the base of a wrought iron dining table as a private obstacle course. Milkshake is a boy who knows what he likes: his favorite toy is a ribbon cluster, and he is deeply devoted to his pom-poms—specifically the pink ones! He takes his treasures everywhere he goes, occasionally “donating” them to the water fountain or, every so often, the litter box for safekeeping. He does have a few charmingly “weird” habits, like his obsession with feathers—which he loves to lick until they are completely drenched and unrecognizable!
Milkshake is a social boy who truly thrives with feline companionship. He hit the jackpot with his foster brother, Calypso, who is incredibly patient and tolerant of Milkshake’s antics. The two are often found snuggled together, with Calypso providing sweet grooming sessions (a favor Milkshake rarely returns!). Sweet, tender, and full of quiet affection, Milkshake is a wonderful companion who’s blossoming into a loving, loyal friend.
