Pumpkin is a very special little lady who traveled all the way from Quebec to find her perfect match. While she is visually impaired, it is often hard to tell; she navigates her world with incredible confidence and still has both of her beautiful eyes. While her full background is not completely known, she is believed to have been an owner surrender and later lived as a farm cat. She has fully embraced the indoor life and is a well-behaved companion with impeccable litter box habits.
Pumpkin is an absolute sweetheart who is blooming in her foster home. While she initially needed a little help learning the layout, she has now mastered the jump onto the bed and her favorite armchair! You might find her napping under the couch for a quiet siesta during the day, but from the afternoon onwards, she is all about her humans. She loves making biscuits and has even started sleeping right on top of her foster parent at night. Because of her limited vision, she is a “low-altitude” cat who luckily never jumps on kitchen counters or coffee tables!
It should be noted that Pumpkin becomes deeply attached to her human and will always come looking for her foster parent to ensure she’s close to the action. Because she thrives so much on companionship, she will do best with a family that is able to spend lots of time with her. She remains a sensitive soul who is wary of strangers and loud noises, so she would thrive in a quiet, serene household with a consistent routine.
To keep her feeling her best, Pumpkin is on a specialized (non-prescription) urinary care wet food. While she isn’t a big fan of plain kibble, she’s discovered that a “seasoning” of crushed freeze-dried salmon makes her meals much more appetizing—though her ultimate favorites remain her Catit creamy tube treats! If you are looking for a devoted, loyal companion who will literally wake you up with love, Pumpkin is waiting for you.
