In loving memory of Sunny

Our sweet Sunny may have been the smallest of her siblings, but she had the biggest heart in the litter. While she was a little slower than the others, she had officially mastered the art of eating wet food and was truly beginning to thrive in her own way. A total Velcro kitty, Sunny always prioritized love above everything else: refusing to even touch her dinner until she had been picked up for her mandatory pre-meal cuddles.

Her favorite place in the world was tucked right against your neck, purring endlessly in pure bliss. And as she gained little bursts of strength, her spunky side began to shine through too. She started zooming through tunnels, bravely taking on her much bigger sisters, and showing glimpses of the big personality hidden inside such a tiny body. With her unique coloring, resilient spirit, and “snuggle-first” attitude, Sunny brought so much joy to everyone who knew her.

The morning of May 28th, 2026, we had to say goodbye to our precious foster baby. Despite being surrounded by love and devoted care, Sunny wasn’t thriving, and at 3 months old was still hovering around only 500g. She passed peacefully in her sleep the night before — unexpected and heartbreaking beyond words. We had all been hoping so deeply for a different outcome.

A very special thank you goes to her incredible foster, Josée Hunter, whose patience, love, and dedication gave Sunny comfort, safety, and endless cuddles throughout her short but deeply meaningful life. Sunny knew what it was to be cherished.

We are absolutely heartbroken and will miss her more than words can say. Tiny but mighty, sweet Sunny left a pawprint far bigger than her little body ever was. We love you forever, Sunny. 💔

Furry Tales requires all small kittens to be adopted with a playful companion or for there to be a friendly feline already in the adoptive home. Kittens are social beings and companionship is an important part of their development.
