Sarabi is a pretty dilute calico lady who arrived just in time. After arriving into care just hours before delivering her three babies, Sarabi has spent the last several weeks being a dedicated mother. Now that her little ones are older and becoming more independent—mastering their excellent litterbox habits and starting to eat on their own, —Sarabi is starting to step out of “mama mode” and her personality is starting to shine through.
This pretty lady has transformed from a nervous newcomer into a curious, high-energy companion. Sarabi is incredibly food-motivated; she has the daily schedule memorized and will loyally follow you around to remind you when wet food or treats are due! This love for snacks has been a wonderful way to bond with her, and she shows her affection through enthusiastic head-butts (right to your face!) and a deep love for head and cheek scratches.
Sarabi’s playful side is a joy to watch. She is a “track star” when the wand toys come out, showing off impressive runs and jumps, and she equally enjoys wrestling with her kicker and chasing after springs.
A Note on Sarabi’s Personality:
While Sarabi is very affectionate and will purr while rubbing against you, she does have a “spicy” side. During her time as a protective mama, she used occasional nips to communicate her boundaries. While this behavior is becoming much less frequent as she relaxes, she still may give a nip when she is overstimulated or excited. Because of this, she would thrive in a home with experienced cat owners who understand feline body language and can appreciate her spirited personality.
Sarabi has perfect litter habits, though she is an “enthusiastic digger,” so a high-sided litter box is highly recommended! If you are looking for a stunning, playful, and devoted companion with a touch of “sass,” Sarabi is waiting to meet you.
