Sarabi is a pretty dilute calico lady who arrived just in time. After arriving into care just hours before delivering her three babies, Sarabi has spent the last several weeks being a dedicated mother.
Now that Sarabi’s kittens have all found their forever homes, this beautiful dilute calico has officially retired from “mama mode.” Over the last few weeks, her true personality has completely blossomed! She is incredibly friendly and craves human company, following her foster parent everywhere to ensure she doesn’t miss out on any action. If you are looking for a loyal shadow and a world-class head-scratch connoisseur, Sarabi is your girl.
Sarabi has traded nursing for playtime and is enjoying her newfound freedom. You will often hear her “zoomies” from the other room as she chases her favorite balls and springs. She is still very food-motivated and will happily remind you when it is time for breakfast or treats. While she used to be a bit “spicy” with her mouth when protecting her kittens, those biting days seem to be a thing of the past! Even while taking daily medication—which she definitely doesn’t enjoy—she has remained a good girl.
In the home, Sarabi is a confident “alpha” lady. She has met other cats and, while not overly cuddly with them, she coexists peacefully with those who respect her space. However, she finds dogs quite scary and prefers to stay in her own quiet zone away from them. An ideal home for Sarabi would be dog-free with an experienced owner who appreciates a spirited, independent cat.
She is also an “enthusiastic digger” in the litter box, so a high-sided box is a must!
Furry Tales requires all small kittens to be adopted with a playful companion or for there to be a friendly feline already in the adoptive home. Kittens are social beings and companionship is an important part of their development.
