Spencer is the definition of a gentle companion; he loves to approach his favourite humans for a rub against their legs, soaking up all the affection he can get. He will literally “fluffs” himself up with excitement when he sees his favorite people. If you’re looking for a cat who will actually tell you about his day, Spencer is your guy—he’s a bit of a chatterbox and loves to strike up a conversation, especially around dinnertime!
This smart boy has some very specific hobbies. He is a huge fan of “Cat TV” (bird and squirrel videos) and will spend hours intently watching the screen. When he isn’t busy with his digital entertainment, he’s a total athlete, chasing his his feather wand toys and catnip kickers through his tunnel. After a hard day of play, he loves nothing more than a spa-style brushing session or a long nap right by your side on the bed.
Spencer is managing diabetes and currently needs insulin about once a day. He’s also had a few tummy upsets that require a watchful eye and a steady diet. Because of his medical needs, he is looking for a dedicated adopter who can help monitor his sugar levels and administer his insulin. He’s a bit of a foodie and will definitely try to lobby for “junk food” over his prescription meals!
While Spencer is incredibly affectionate, he is a guy who knows his own mind. He values his personal space and will give a polite meow to let you know when he’s finished with pets. He’s also very clear about one thing: he wants to be your one and only. Other cats are a big “no” for him, as they make him feel a bit grumpy. A quiet, adult-only home where he can be the center of attention is exactly what this brave, beautiful boy deserves.
