Hot Chocolate is the most social of the two siblings. While he may start off a bit shy, this handsome young boy is proving day by day that he is a “sweet treat” just waiting to melt into his forever home. He has already mastered the art of licking “Churu” tube treats right from his foster’s hand—a huge milestone for a shy kitten! He is comfortable eating out in the open even when people are in the room, showing that his confidence is growing by leaps and bounds.
Hot Chocolate has a hilarious and endearing way of showing he’s settling in. When his foster parent pets his back, he’ll stop, relax, and even let out a little purr… before suddenly realizing, “Wait, a human is touching me!” and jumping away. But he can’t fool us—he recently leaned into a cheek pet for 10 whole seconds and loved every bit of it! The secret to his heart? Entertainment! He transforms into a “big brave hunter” when the ball tracks and wand toys come out. He is also a huge fan of bird and squirrel videos – moving right up to the screen to get the best view even when his foster is holding the iPad.
Hot Chocolate would thrive in a patient, calm household that can continue his socialization. He would do best in a home with another confident cat (or his sister) to help him stay brave. If you have a wand toy in one hand and an iPad with bird videos in the other, you’ll have a best friend for life!
