Snowball is a stunning, fluffy white kitten who is currently on a brave journey from the great outdoors to the comforts of home. Because she spent her early life outside, Snowball is a “slow-burn” kitty—she is quite shy and is looking for a special human who understands that the best friendships often take time to grow.

And with a little time and patience, Snowball is celebrating some major victories in her foster home! For the first time, she has started emerging from her cozy hiding spots while her foster parent is in the room. She’s even brave enough to enjoy her food and water just a few feet away from her humans. These may seem like small steps, but for a girl like Snowball, they are huge leaps of faith.

Snowball is a clear communicator – currently she is not yet comfortable with being touched and prefers to observe from a distance. She is still learning that hands are for kindness, and she needs a family that will respect her space and let her set the pace. While she hasn’t started playing with toys just yet, her curiosity is growing every day! What has helped is the magic of “Cat TV” and an iPad. Snowball is a huge fan of bird and squirrel videos and can become so focused on the screen that she’ll actually move closer to her foster parent just to get a better view. This has become a wonderful way to bond with her in a low-stress way.

Snowball is looking for a quiet, patient sanctuary. She would thrive in a home that can provide a predictable environment without loud noises or sudden changes and understands “hands-off” bonding through treats and videos. A home with another confident cat (or her sibling) to show her the ropes would be ideal. If you have a gentle heart and the patience to watch this little Snowball melt into a confident companion, she is waiting for you!

Furry Tales requires all small kittens to be adopted with a playful companion or for there to be a friendly feline already in the adoptive home. Kittens are social beings and companionship is an important part of their development.
