Golden Years, Perfect Matches: Seniors for Seniors Adoption Event! 🐾

Are you or a senior in your life looking for a calm, loving, and independent companion? There is truly nothing sweeter than the bond between a senior person and a senior cat. To celebrate these perfect pairings, Furry Tales Cat Rescue is hosting a special Seniors for Seniors Adoption Event!

Senior cats have so much love left to give—they are already litter-box trained, past the chaotic kitten phase, and experts at the art of the afternoon nap. To help these wonderful cats find their retirement homes, we are making adoption as seamless as possible:

• Waived Adoption Fees: Adoption fees will be completely waived for senior citizens (55+) adopting a senior cat.
• Starter Supplies Included: To ensure you and your new feline friend get off to the best start, starter supplies will be provided with every adoption.

• Date: Sunday, May 31, 2026, 10 AM – 4 PM
• What to expect: A chance to meet some of our most gentle, affectionate, and amazing senior cats who are looking for their “fur-ever” lap to curl up in.

• Mocha – a chatty 12-year-old lady who does an adorable happy-dance butt wiggle when getting pets or her favourite food. She loves birdwatching and being a comforting everyday companion.
• Gemma – a sweet 13-year-old tabby girl with the loudest purrs and the softest heart. She adores human company, makes the best biscuits, and believes every quiet moment is better shared together.
• Lovey – a stunning 10-year-old black beauty whose world changed when her owner moved into palliative care. She still greets everyone with love, asks for endless pets, and will happily investigate your shoes while keeping you company.
• Ziggy –  a gentle 12-year-old tabby gentleman who will politely meow for pets and quietly steal your heart with his sweet nature. Ziggy would love a calm, dog-free home.
• Cece – a beautiful, all-white girl who absolutely lives for affection. She loves pets, butt scratches, and rubbing her face on everything around her. Cece is also hoping for a peaceful, dog-free home.
• Kentucky – a handsome 10-year-old Russian Blue gentleman who would love nothing more than to curl up beside you while you work or relax. A true lap cat and professional nap partner.
• Spencer – the perfect blend of gentle companion and chatterbox who loves attention and “Cat TV”, and prefers to be the only king in his castle.  He is looking for a dedicated adopter to help manage his diabetes and keep him on a steady diet.
• Max & Milo — 12-year-old bonded Cornish Rex brothers and two of the most affectionate, people-oriented cats we’ve ever met. Milo is the more independent brother, while Max would happily spend every second glued to your side.
